Hi I’m Santiago Rojas Navarro. A Computer Systems Engineering student at Universidad Fidélitas in Costa Rica, passionate about technology, software development, and video games. Since I began my academic journey, I have been driven by a desire to understand how complex digital systems are built and optimized, continuously seeking opportunities to translate theoretical knowledge into functional, real-world solutions.
My technical focus spans full-stack web development, backend engineering, data analysis, and system architecture. I have hands-on experience working with languages and tools such as C#, .NET Core, Python, FastAPI, React, and SQL Server, alongside data visualization platforms like Power BI. Additionally, my coursework and personal projects have allowed me to build a solid foundation in IT auditing, networking, and clean code practices—always aiming to write code that is clean, efficient, and scalable.
Beyond my core academic curriculum, I am an active contributor to the WPCredits project. Documenting my journey in open-source collaboration has allowed me to sharpen my skills in CMS architecture, block-based design, and localization, while connecting with a broader community of developers. I strongly believe in the power of open-source ecosystems to foster continuous learning and collective innovation.
When I am not coding or studying systems architecture, I enjoy playing video games, listening to music, and staying active through sports. Alongside my studies, I work as a sales agent, a role that has strengthened my interpersonal skills, communication, and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced environments. Balancing real-world sales experience with technical engineering challenges gives me a unique perspective on customer needs, teamwork, and driving impactful project outcomes.
